SIFFCY Festival Director Jitendra Mishra was invited as a speaker for a Knowledge Series Panel titled “ Bringing Children films into mainstream viewership” at NFDC FilmBazaar during 53rd IFFI Goa (20-29 NOV 2022). The other speakers in the panel were Mr Prasoon Joshi is the Chairperson, CBFC, veteran lyricist and screenwriter, Ms Zafrin Chowdhury, Chief, Communications, Advocacy and Partnership at UNICEF India and the ace Indian film producer Mr Manish Mundra.

SIFFCY@BIKY, SOUTH KOREA

SIFFCY Festival Director Jitendra Mishra was invited as a speaker to one of the biggest film festival for children & youth in Asia – BIKY (Busan international film festival for young people), South Korea during 17th edition of the festival schedule from 8-17 July 2022. Mr Mishra hosted a panel on how to develop cinema culture among young people globally. More than 50 industry experts from across the globe participated in the forum.

SIFFCY Festival Director Jitendra Mishra was invited as the Jury member to one of the leading film festival AleKino International film festival scheduled from 1-8 Oct. 2022 in Poznan, Poland. Mr Mishra also hosted a special presentation about “How Film can be used in Schools as an educational tool proactively” to the teachers from the country.

SIFFCY festival director Jitendra Mishra was selected Jury for the 20th International Children’s Film Festival of India (Golden Elephant) , hosted by Telangana Government jointly with CFSI and the Ministry of I&B, Government of India.The Golden Elephant is a biennial festival that strives to bring the most imaginative and delightful international & national children’s cinema to young audiences in India. The festival presents features, shorts, live action and animation films over seven days of festive celebrations attended by more than one hundred thousand children, hundreds of film professionals and eminent guests from around the world.

SIFFCY Festival Director Jitendra Mishra selected Jury for the ‘European Children Film Association’ during the 23rd Schlingel Film Festival, Germany. SIFFCY is proud to collaborate with the unique festival with an objective to exchange Art, culture, values through cinema. Founder of Schlingel Mr Michael Harbauer has agreed to present the ‘German focus section’ this year during SIFFCY’18.

SIFFCY was selected among other 60 global industry experts & leaders in the similar field from across the globe to participate the ‘Fest of Fests’ forum , an initiative by Michael Cocoyanis Foundation, Greece to connect the international network of youth film festivals, as well as academic and educational institutions leading the design and implementation of film literacy programs, and international and national media education policy-makers. The Fest of Fests Launch Forum was held on June 25-28, 2018, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in Athens and Jitendra Mishra represented SIFFCY in this prestigious forum.

SIFFCY Festival Director Jitendra Mishra elected ‘Board of director’ for CIFEJ, the biggest & oldest media network for children & youth. CIFEJ was first established in Bruxelles in 1955 under the auspices of UNESCO. CIFEJ main goal has been to promote production of films and audio-visual media that are culturally diverse, artistic, educational, informative, and at the same time entertaining; especially designed for children and young people.
